Patty Melt Sandwich

List of Ingredients




1/2 cup Onions, sliced
1 Tablespoon Butter or oil
2 Burger patties (8 ounce each)
4 slices Rye bread
2 Tablespoons 1000 Island dressing
2 slices Swiss cheese
2 slices American cheese

Recipe



Melt the butter in a skillet. Add the onions and cook until just soft. Remove from the skillet. Add the patties and cook to the desired doneness. Top with the cooked onions. Add one slice of each cheese to each patty and heat until melted. Spread the dressing on the bread. Add the beef and top with the remaining bread slices.
