Blueberry Buckle
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup Crisco shortening
2 eggs
1/2 cup milk
1-1/2 cups flour
2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1 can blueberries, drained OR 1 package frozen blueberries
Topping:
1/2 cup sugar
1/3 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 cup soft margarine
Mix sugar, Crisco, eggs and milk until well blended. Stir in flour, baking powder, salt, nutmeg and cloves. Fold in blueberries gently; spread batter into a 9-inch square pan.
Combine remaining ingredients and mix until its crumbly. Sprinkle crumbs over the batter. Bake at 375° 45-50 minutes or until top springs back when lightly touched. Cut into squares and serve warm.
