Fried Cherries (Fritters)
2 eggs, beaten
2/3 cup milk
2 tablespoons oil
1 cup flour
2 tablespoons sugar
Cherries, stems and seeds left in
Beat together first 3 ingredients; add dry ingredients and beat until smooth. Tie stems of cherries together to make a bunch - about 3 to 4 per bunch. Dip in the batter; deep-fry 4 to 5 minutes until golden. Roll in granulated sugar.
Note: You can use this batter with other fruit too.
