Spaghetti Pie
6 ounces spaghetti
2 tablespoons margarine
1 cup cottage cheese
1/2 cup chopped onions
1 (6-oz.) can tomato paste
1 teaspoon oregano
1/2 cup shredded Mozzarella cheese
1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 eggs, well beaten
1 pound ground beef
1 (8-oz.) can tomatoes, cut up
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
Cook spaghetti until tender; drain well. You should have about 3 cups. Stir in the margarine, Parmesan cheese and eggs; mix until butter is melted. Grease a 10-inch pie pan or glass dish. Form a crust with the spaghetti and set aside.
In skillet, cook the ground beef and onions, until brown; drain off any grease.
Stir in the tomatoes, undrained, tomato paste, sugar, oregano and garlic salt.
Cook for 45 minutes. Pour the cottage cheese over the spaghetti; then the meat mixture over all. Bake at 350° for 20 minutes. Remove from oven; sprinkle with shredded Mozzarella cheese and bake 5 minutes more.
