    2 cups butter, softened
    2 cups powdered sugar
    1 tbsp. vanilla
    4 cups flour
    sugar sprinkles

    Recipe



    Cream butter and add sugar. Beat in vanilla and flour. Shape dough into 1 inch balls. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten with index and middle fingers making indentations. Decorate with cherries, nuts or colored sugar. Or just leave plain as I do sometimes.

    Bake in a 400 oven for 8 to 10 minutes or just until golden brown on bottom and around edges. Remove from pan and cool on rack. Makes 8 dozen.
