BUTTER COOKIES WITH FROSTING

I don’t use a cookie press, I just shape in balls and flatten a little, bake, cool and frost.


List of Ingredients




1 cup butter, softened
¾ cup sugar
1 egg
½ tsp. vanilla
2 ½ cups flour
1 tsp. baking powder
¼ tsp. salt

Recipe



Cream butter and sugar. Add egg and vanilla, mix well. Combine flour, powder and salt, add to creamed mixture and mix well. Place dough in cookie press – form cookies on ungreased baking sheets.

Bake in a 375 degree oven for 6 – 8 minutes or until set. Cool.

FROSTING:

½ cup butter
4 cups powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
3 – 4 tbsps. milk

Beat butter, sugar and vanilla until smooth. Blend in enough milk until desired consistency. Frost.
