½ cup butter
1 cup boiling water
1 cup flour
4 eggs
Recipe
Melt butter in boiling water. Add flour and stir vigorously. Cook stirring constantly until mixture forms a ball that does not separate. Remove from heat and cool slightly. Add eggs one at a time. Beat until smooth. Drop dough by heaping tbsps. 3 inches apart on greased cookie sheet.
Bake in a 450 oven for 15 minutes, turn down oven to 325 and bake for 25 minutes more. Remove from oven and split. Turn off oven and put back in oven for 20 minutes to dry out. Cool on rack.
Just before serving, fill with custard filling and drizzle with chocolate sauce. Makes 10 puffs.
