    7-8 large cooking apples
    3 tbsps. butter
    3/4 cup sugar
    1 tbsp. cinnamon
    dash nutmeg
    1 - 9" pie shell

    Topping:

    2/3 cup flour
    2/3 cup rolled oats
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/3 cup light brown sugar
    1/3 cup butter

    Recipe



    Melt butter, add apples and toss about until coated . Add sugar and cinnamon, toss until well coated. Bake a 9 inch pie shell for 10 minutes. Pour apple mixture into pie shell.

    Topping:

    Combine the rolled oats and cinnamon. Combine brown sugar and flour and then add to the rolled oats mixture. Cream butter and add to the above mixture. Sprinkle over unbaked apples.

    Bake in a 350 oven for 45 to 60 minutes.
