Recipe Introduction
This is the recipe we got in high school home economics class. Still my favorite after all these years. You can make it in the morning and let it simmer in the crockpot on low all day.
List of Ingredients
1-1/2 lbs. ground beef
1 large onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
2 (29 oz.) cans tomato sauce (I buy the chunky Italian sauce)
1-1/2 cup water
1 tbsp. brown sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. basil
1/2 tsp. oregano
1 beef bouillon cube
Recipe
Brown ground beef with onion and garlic; drain. Stir in remaining ingredients.
Simmer, uncovered, for one hour, stirring occasionally.
