2 sticks butter
1 tablespoon light Karo syrup
3 tablespoons COLD water
1 1/3 cups sugar
1 cups nuts, chopped (optional)
1 giant milk chocolate bar
Recipe
Line a cookie sheet with heavy duty foil and spray with non-stick spray.
Mix first 4 ingrediants in a saucepan and heat to 300F on a candy thermometer; stirring occasionally. (If desired, add 1 cup chopped nuts at 250F).
Pour HOT mixture on cookie sheet and let cool completely. Melt chocolate bar and spread on top of cooled toffee. Sprinkle with additional chopped nuts if desired.
Cool and break into pieces.
