Blue Ribbon Oatmeal/Chocolate Chip Cookies presented by White
Elephant Bed & Breakfast Inn
1 1/4 cups flour
1/2 tsp soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
3/4 cup butter or margarine
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2 - 1/2 cups quick or old-fashioned oats, (uncooked)
6 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
In a small bowl, combine flour, soda and salt; mix well. Stir in
oats, then add chocolate chips and walnuts.
In a large bowl, beat together sugar and butter until light and
fluffy; blend in eggs and vanilla. Add flour mixture; mix well.
Drop dough by rounded tablespoons onto greased cookie sheets.
Bake 10 to 12 minutes at 350° degree. Cool on rack.
Makes about 3 dozen 2-1/2 inch cookies.
