Fruit Kabobs
2 ripe peaches, cut in large chunks
1 pear, cut in large chunks
1 banana, cut into 6 pieces
2 Tbs honey
1/2 small cantaloupe, peeled and cut in 2-inch chunks
1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
1/4 tsp ginger
1/4 tsp grape juice
Assemble fruit chunks onto skewers. Mix remaining ingredients and baste fruit. Put skewers 8-inches above grey coals over a greased grill and cook for about 5 min., brushing with wine mixture a couple of times.
Makes 6 servings.
Kabobs II (same idea, different flavor)
1/2 cup butter
1 cup pineapple juice
juice of 1 lemon
1 tsp ginger
3 Tbs brown sugar
2 T lime juice
2 kiwis
2 bananas
12 strawberries
4 to 5 skewers
Prepare as above, basting often.
