    Suzi Q Cake

    1 box Devil's Food cake mix

    Creme Filling:
    2 teaspoons very hot water
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    2 cups marshmallow creme (a 7-ounce jar)
    1/2 cup shortening
    1/3 cup powdered sugar
    1/2 teaspoon vanilla

    Prepare cake in two 9-inch pans according to package directions. While the cake bakes, prepare filling.

    Use a small bowl to dissolve the salt in 2 teaspoons of very hot water and set aside to cool.

    Combine marshmallow creme, shortening, powdered sugar, and vanilla in a medium bowl and mix on high until fluffy. Add the prepared solution to the filling mixture and blend well.

    Frost with chocolate fudge icing, then decorate with white frosting as desired. I make mine to look like a giant Hostess Cupcake - hmm, I guess maybe it should be called Hostess Cupcake Cake then! Enjoy - this is very sweet, but very good.
