Savory Seafood Dip

List of Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 2 large cloves garlic, crushed
- 2 8 oz. packages cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese
- 2/3 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice, freshly squeezed
- 1/2 teaspoon hot red pepper sauce ( I use more)
- 2 6 1/2 cans minced clams, drained
- 2 6 oz cans lump crabmeat, drained
- chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- In a 2 quart saucepan over medium-high heat, heat oil; Add garlic.
Cook 1 to 2 minutes, stirring frequently until tender.
- Remove from heat, leaving garlic in pan, drain off oil.
- To pan add cream cheese, cheddar, mayonnaise, lemon juice and hot pepper sauce.
- Cook over low heat 5 to 7 minutes, stirring constantly until blended and heated through.
- Add clams and crabmeat cook 1 to 2 minutes. Spoon into serving dish, sprinkle with parsley.
Final Comments
Serve with crackers or fresh veggies
