Marinated Filet Mignon

List of Ingredients
- 1 small filet mignon per person, about 1 3/4 to 2 inches thick.
- MARINADE; (enough for 6 filets)
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- 2 tsp. finely chopped fresh rosemary
- 2 tsp. finely chopped fresh thyme
- FLAVORED BUTTER; (enough for 6 filets)
- 2 Tbs. butter, at room temperature
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp. Dijon mustard
Instructions
- Place filets in a resealable plastic bag.
Combine the marinade ingredients in a glass bowl.
Pour the marinade over the filets, seal the bag, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight.
- When ready to cook, place the filets over hot coals and grill for about 10 minutes per side, or until temperature is between 140 and 150 degrees. (medium rare) Or use grill pan.
- Thoroughly combine the butter, Worcestershire sauce, and mustard. Set aside until the steaks are cooked.
- Remove the filets to a warm platter. Place about a teaspoon of flavored butter on top of each filet.
