Linguine With Savory Clam Sauce

List of Ingredients
- 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) Butter
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 cup chopped green onions
- 1 tomato, peeled, seeded and chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 1/2 tsps. chopped fresh parsley
- 1/2 tsp. dried oregano, crumbled
- 1/2 tsp. dried basil, crumbled
- Freshly ground pepper
- 1 bottle clam juice
- 1 pound fresh or frozen thawed clams, minced
- 1 pound freshly cooked linguine
- 1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Melt butter with oil in medium skillet over medium heat.
- Add green onion to skillet and saute 2 minutes. Add clam juice,tomato,garlic, parsley, oregano, basil and pepper and simmer 10 minutes.
- Add clams and continue cooking until cooked through, 2 to 3 minutes.
- Toss linguine with 2 tablespoons butter in large serving bowl. Add sauce and sprinkle with parmesan.
