    Linguine With Savory Clam Sauce

    List of Ingredients


    • 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) Butter
    • 1/4 cup olive oil
    • 1 cup chopped green onions
    • 1 tomato, peeled, seeded and chopped
    • 3 garlic cloves, minced
    • 1 1/2 tsps. chopped fresh parsley
    • 1/2 tsp. dried oregano, crumbled
    • 1/2 tsp. dried basil, crumbled
    • Freshly ground pepper
    • 1 bottle clam juice
    • 1 pound fresh or frozen thawed clams, minced
    • 1 pound freshly cooked linguine
    • 1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese


    Instructions


    1. Melt butter with oil in medium skillet over medium heat.

    2. Add green onion to skillet and saute 2 minutes. Add clam juice,tomato,garlic, parsley, oregano, basil and pepper and simmer 10 minutes.

    3. Add clams and continue cooking until cooked through, 2 to 3 minutes.

    4. Toss linguine with 2 tablespoons butter in large serving bowl. Add sauce and sprinkle with parmesan.
