Chicken in a Sweet and Sour Sauce

List of Ingredients
- Carnation evaporated milk
- Salt and pepper, garlic salt
- 1/2 cup peeled carrots in small chunks
- 1/2 cup green pepper in 1 inch pieces
- 1/2 cup well-drained pineapple chunks
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup ketchup
- 1 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 cup cider vinegar
- 3 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 Tbsp. hot oil from deep-fryer
Instructions
- Put carrots in small saucepan with small amount of water. Bring to boil and 2 minutes, then add green pepper. After a few seconds, before water boils again, drain vegetables and rinse thoroughly in cold water.
- Add pineapple. Put next 5 ingredients and 2/3 cup water. In saucepan and bring to a boil, add vinegar.
- Blend cornstarch and 1/3 cup water and stir into mixture.
- Cook stirring until thickened. Add oil and vegetables, pineapple mixture.
