    Merk's Coffee Cake

    List of Ingredients


    • 1/2 cup Margarine
    • 3/4 cup Sugar
    • 1 tsp Vanilla
    • 3 Eggs
    • 2 cup Flour
    • 1 tsp Baking Powder
    • 1 tsp Baking Soda
    • 1/2 pint commercial Sour Cream
    • 6 Tbsp softened Margarine
    • 1 cup Brown Sugar
    • 2 tsp Cinnamon
    • 1 cup chopped Nuts


    Instructions


    1. Cream 1/2 cup Margarine, Sugar & Vanilla

    2. Add Eggs singly, beating well after each

    3. Add Flour, Baking Powder, & Baking Soda together alternating with
      Sour Cream

    4. Spread 1/2 batter in 10" Tube Pan (greased and lined with wax paper)

    5. Cream 6 Tbsp Margarine, Brown Sugar & Cinnamon together

    6. Add Nuts and mix well

    7. Put most of the Brown Sugar mixture in the pan and cover with
      other 1/2 of batter

    8. Sprinkle on remaining Brown Sugar mixture

    9. Bake 350 degrees for 50 minutes



    Final Comments


    DO NOT remove whole cake from pan til cool.
