    Picante Sauce

    List of Ingredients


    • 16 cups Tomatoes peeled and mashed
    • 2 cups Green Peppers cut fine
    • 2 cups Onion cut fine
    • 1 jalapeno pepper cut fine
    • 6-8 cloves of Garlic cut fine
    • 5 tablespoons of Salt
    • 2 tablespoons of Pepper
    • 5 tablespoons of Chili Powder
    • 3 tablespoons of Sugar
    • 1 cup Vinegar


    Instructions


    1. Simmer all ingredients together 30 - 40 minutes.

    2. Thicken with Flourwater to desired thickness.

    3. Hotwater bath 20 minutes.

    4. Makes 10 - 11 1/2 pints.Serve with Tostito Chips, use for Tacos, etc.



    Final Comments


    May also grind the vegetables before cooking.
