    Cheese Bread with Spinach 'Pesto' Sauce

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 or 2 French baguettes, sliced lengthwise
    • 1/2 cup spinach 'pesto' sauce (recipe under sauces)
    • 1 heaing cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese


    Instructions


    1. Spread surface of each baguette half with layer of spinach 'pesto' sauce.
    2. Place bread halves on baking sheet; sprinkle with cheese and bake in 375 degree oven 10 to 20 minutes, until hot, bubbly and very golden in color.
    3. Cut into slices (for dinner) or 1 inch chunks (for hors d'oeuveres) and serve
    4. Sun-dried tomato variation: After spreading the sauce on bread,sprinkle with chopped sun dried tomatoes (oil-pack variety), then sprinkle with cheese and bake as described previously.
