    Ice Cream Sandwiches

    When you first bake the 'cookie' crust, it's rather bland, but once filled with ice cream, wrapped in foil and frozen overnight, they become sugar-y and delicious.

    1/4 cup butter
    1/2 cup Crisco
    1 egg
    vanilla ice cream or ice cream of choice

    Recipe



    Beat together the butter, Crisco and egg. Add 1/2 of the cake mix, beat well, then add other half.
    Roll out, cut a little larger than desired finished size.
    Bake at 375 degrees for 6-8 minutes until the outer edge
    is firm, do not overbake.
    Prick with fork.
    When cool, fill with ice cream, top with another piece, and
    wrap in foil and freeze overnight.
