    Baked Macaroni & Cheese

    Recipe Introduction

This is VERY yummy...& the easiest baked macaroni & cheese ever. We always put ham in it & love it. My FIL asks for it everytime we invite him over. It's a main dish, not a side dish. I have altered this from the original recipe given to me. I'll try to remember the exact amounts I use.

    List of Ingredients

1 pound elbow macaroni (original recipe "3 cups")
2 pounds of chedder cheese (original recipe "1 large block")
1/2 tube of Ritz Crackers, crumbled (same as original)
    1 cup mozzarella cheese (same)
Ham, chopped into bite size pieces (optional) (not in original recipe)
Spinach (optional) (not in original recipe)
2 cans (12 ounces each) evaporated milk

    Recipe

Boil macaroni for 5 minutes. Layer in pan as follows: 1/2 macaroni on bottom of pan, 1/2 of the chedder cheese, cracker crumbs, mozzarella cheese, ham (if used), spinach (if used), remaining macaroni, remaining cheese. Pour the 2 cans of evaporated milk over everything. Bake at 375 degrees (F) for 30 minutes.
