    Submitted by Jessica (jessicak_424)

    List of Ingredients

    1 ½ c. creamy peanut butter
    ½ c. butter, room temperature
    1 tsp. vanilla
6 oz. semi sweet chocolate pieces or “Candiquik”
    2 T solid vegetable shortening

    Recipe

Line a baking sheet with waxed paper. Mix peanut butter, butter, vanilla and sugar with hands to form a smooth dough. Mixture will be stiff. Shape dough into balls, using teaspoon. Place on waxed paper and put in refrigerator. Melt chocolate and shortening in microwave, mixing in between timings. When smooth, pour into a small cup or coffee mug. Remove peanut butter balls from refrigerator. Insert a wooden toothpick or small fork into each ball and dip into melted chocolate mixture, so that ¾ of the ball is covered. Return to waxed paper, removing toothpick, and refrigerate at least 30 minutes. Store in refrigerator in airtight container.
