    List of Ingredients




    1/3 c. margarine, softened
    1/3 c. brown sugar
    1 c. flour
    ¼ c. granulated sugar
    1 pkg. cream cheese, softened
    1 egg
    ½ tsp. vanilla
    2 T milk
    1 T lemon juice

    Recipe



    1) In large bowl with electric mixer, beat butter and brown sugar until creamy. With a fork blend in flour until mixture resembles fine crumbs.

    2) Reserve 1 c. crumb mixture for topping; then press remainder firmly and evenly over bottom of a greased 8 in. square baking pan. Bake in a 350 oven for 12 to 15 minutes, or until lightly browned.

    3) Meanwhile, in a small bowl with mixer, beat granulated sugar and cream cheese until fluffy. Add egg, vanilla, milk and lemon juice. Beat until smooth. Pour cream cheese mixture over bake crust. Sprinkle with remaining crumbs evenly.

    4) Return mixture to oven and bake for about 20 minutes or until top is lightly browned. Let cool in pan on a wire rack, then cut into 2 inch squares. Store covered in refrigerator.
