    Beef Stroganoff Bake

    List of Ingredients

    8 oz. No yolk egg noodles
    3/4 pound extra lean ground beef
    6 oz. Ground turkey breast
    2 onions, chopped
    2 garlic cloves, minced
    8 oz. Mushrooms, sliced (2 cups)
    1/2 tsp. Dried marjoram, crushed
    1/4 tsp. Dried thyme, crushed
    8 oz. Tomato sauce
    8 oz. Fat free cottage cheese
    4 oz. Neufchatel cheese (or light cream cheese)
    1/2 tsp. Salt
    1/4 tsp. Ground black pepper
    1/2 cup shredded, reduced fat Cheddar cheese (2 oz.)

    Recipe

    Cook the noodles according to lpackage directions. Drain and set aside.

    Preheat the oven to 350°F. Coat a 2 1/2 to 3 quart baking dish with nonstick spray.

    Coat a large nonstick skillet with a nonstick spray and warm over medium high heat. Add the beef, turkey, onions, and garlic. Cook, stirring, for 10 to 15 minutes, or until the meat is no longer pink and the onions are soft. Drain the fat. Add the mushrooms, margoram, and thyme and cook for 5 minutes. Stir in the tomato sauce, cottage cheese, cream cheese, salt and pepper. Cook and stir until the cream cheese melts. Stir in the reserved noodles.

    Transfer to the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle with the cheddar cheese. Bake for 25 minutes, or until bubbly.

    Serves 6 (370 calories, 13 grams fat, 62 mg. Cholesterol
