    Deep Dish Sour Cream Apple Pie

    1 unbaked deep dish pie shell (9 in)
    2 tablespoons all purpose flour
    6 to 8 cooking apples, peeled and sliced
    1 1/2 cups sour cream
    3/4 cup brown sugar
    3 egg yolks, beaten
    2 teaspoons melted butter
    Pinch salt
    Sprinkle pie shell with 1 tablespoon flour. Arrange apple slices on bottom. In a mixing bowl, combine sour cream, brown sugar, egg yolks, butter, salt and remaining flour; blend well and spoon over apple slices. Bake in 425 oven 15 minutes, then reduce heat to 350 degrees and bake an additional 40 minutes, or until apples are tender. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
