Recipe Introduction
Kugel is not just for Rosh Hashanah - this is a great side dish for a pot roast any day!
List of Ingredients
- 2 cups dried medium egg noodles.
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter (soft)
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup cottage cheese (NOT low fat)
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp white pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350.
- Cook the noodles in a large saucepan of boiling salted water until tender.
- Drain the noodles in a colander and toss with the butter in a bowl.
- While the noodles are cooking whisk together eggs, cottage cheese, sour cream, salt and pepper in a large bowl.
- Stir in the buttered noodles.
- Transfer to a buttered deep 1 qt baking dish and bake in the middle of the oven until firm - 45min to 1 hour.
