Lemon Tea Bread

List of Ingredients
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans or almonds
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 egg
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 8oz. lemon yogurt
- 1 tablespoon grated lemon rind
Instructions
- Combine sugar, butter, and lemon juice. Add egg and beat until smooth.
- Sift flour, baking soda and salt; stir into sugar mixture. alternating with yogurt. Stir only until blended.
- Add lemon rind and nuts.
- Spoon batter into greased 8" loaf pans.
- Sprinkle sugar on top before baking.
- Bake in a preheated 350* oven for 60 minutes, or until toothpick comes out clean.
