Recipe Introduction
This is a variation of the candy, my mama would make when I was a child. Throughout the years, the recipe has been forgotten. A friend gave me this recipe and its the closest to what I had as a child
List of Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 tablespoons butter
- Pecan halves
Instructions
- Boil together the milk and 1 1/2 cups sugar.
- In the meantime, melt 1/2 cup sugar in an iron skillet. Stir constantly
- Add melted sugar to boiled ingredients.
- Let slowly boil to soft ball stage.
- Add pecan halves and beat well
- Drop by spoonfuls on greased surface. ( I use wax paper)
