    List of Ingredients


    • 1 cup butter, softened
    • 1 cup sugar
    • 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
    • 2 eggs
    • 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
    • 1 teaspoon baking soda
    • 1/4 teaspoon salt
    • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
    • 1 cup finely chopped pecans or walnuts


    Instructions


    1. Cream butter; gradually add sugars, beating at medium speed of an electric mixer until light and fluffy.
    2. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
    3. Combine flour, soda, salt and cinnamon; stir well.
      Add to creamed mixture; beating well.
    4. Stir in pecans.
    5. Shape dough into two 10-inch rolls; wrap in wax paper, and chill at least 8 hours.
    6. Unwrap rolls, and cut into 1/4-inch slices; place 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheets.
    7. Bake at 350* for 10 to 12 minutes.
    8. Let cool on wire racks.
    9. yields: 6 1/2 dozen
