    Recipe Introduction


    This recipe comes from the courtesy of Day Dreamers 11. The Days had a resturant in Lake Charles, La. that has been close for a while, but everyone still talks about it, so you know its a winner.


    List of Ingredients


    • 4 chicken breasts, skinned and boned.
    • 1/4 pound mushrooms, sliced
    • 1 package Pioneer Chicken Gravy
    • Paprika
    • 8 ounce package egg noodles
    • 1 tablespoon butter or margarine
    • 1/2 small onion, chopped
    • 1/2 cup sherry (the real stuff, not cooking sherry)
    • Tony's seasoning
    • 1 1/2 cups water
    • 8 ounces sour cream, fat free


    Instructions


    1. Spray Dutch oven with vegetable spray. Cook pasta according to package directions.
    2. Drain and rinse, leaving in colander.
    3. In same pot, respray and melt buter over mediun high heat. Add chicken breasts which have been sprinkled with Tony's seasoning and paprika. Brown chicken, remove from pot and set aside.
    4. Turn heat down slightly ; saute onions about 3 to 4 minutes, stirring browned bits that were left in bottom of pan while frying the chicken, with the onions.
    5. Add mushrooms and cook about 2 minutes. Add sherry and return chicken to pot.
    6. Cook, covered, on low heat about 30 minutes, or until chickn is done.
    7. Dissolve gravy mix in 1/2 cup water and add to pot.
    8. Stir and add 1 cup additional water. When mixture has boiled about 1 minute, turn fire off and stir in sour cream.
    9. Place drained pasta in microwave dish with cover, and pour chicken and sauce over noodles.
      Sprinkle with parsle and paprika.
    10. Heat in microwave until noodles and chicken are hot, about 3 to 5 minutes.
    11. serves 4
