    Galveston Bay Crab Spread

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 (10 ounce) can cream of shrimp soup
    • 1 ( 8ounce) package cream cheese, cubed
    • 1/4 cup finely minced green onions
    • 1 cup mayonnaise
    • 2 (.25 ounce) envelopes unflavored gelatin
    • 1 cup cold water
    • 2 (6 ounce) cans crabmeat, washed, picked
    • 1 cup very finely chopped celery
    • 1/4 cup finely chopped ripe olives, optional


    Instructions


    1. In saucepan, combine soup, cream cheese and green onions. Heat on low and stir constantly until cheese melts. Fold in mayonnaise and mix.
    2. Dissolve gelatin in water. When it dissolves, bleand into soup mixture and heat until mixture is warm.
      Stir in crabmeat, celery and olives.
    3. Pour into 8-inch mold or loaf pan. Chill several hours or overnight.
    4. When ready to serve, remove from mold, slice and spread on crackers of your choice.
