Recipe Introduction
This is the most sinfully delicious dessert I have ever eaten. You will definitely get your chocolate fix from this.
List of Ingredients
- Six 1-ounce squares bittersweet chocolate
- Two 1-ounce squares semisweet chocolate
- 10 tablespoons (1 1/4 sticks) butter
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 3 egg yolks
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons Grand Marnier (I used 2 T. strong coffee)
- Whipped cream or ice cream
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Lightly butter six 3/4-cup custard cups.
- Melt the chocolates and butter in the microwave at full power for 1 minute or in a double boiler over simmering water until melted. If microwaving, check the chocolate after 1 minute, stir, and continue microwaving for 10 seconds, until melted. Transfer the chocolate mixture to a large mixing bowl.
- Add the flour and sugar to the chocolate mixture.
Stir in the eggs and egg yolks until the mixture is smooth. Stir in the vanilla and Grand Marnier (or coffee or whatever you want to use). Divide the batter evenly among the custard cups. Place the cups on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 13 minutes. The edges will be firm, but the center should be runny. Run a knife around the edges to loosen and invert onto dessert plates. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
- Makes 6 cakes.
