    List of Ingredients


    • 2 heads iceberg lettuce
    • 4 chopped hard-boiled eggs
    • 1 cup chopped chives
    • 1 cup crumbled cooked bacon
    • 1 cup crumbled bleu cheese
    • 3/4 cup French dressing (see recipe)
    • 1 1/4 cups Gorgonzola dressing (see recipe)


    Instructions


    1. Wash and core the lettuce. Reserve 4 large leaves for presentation; chop the remaining lettuce into bite-size pieces.
    2. Place the chopped lettuce into a large bowl with the eggs, chives, bacon, and bleu cheese. Toss the ingredients, then add the French and Gorgonzola dressings. Toss the salad until well coated with dressing, then mound on chilled plates lined with lettuce leaves.
    3. Serves eight.


    Final Comments


    The French dressing is very different, so don't use something else instead. I tempered my eggs as I didn't want to use raw eggs. As far as I can tell, it turned out pretty well. I received many compliments on this one.
