    List of Ingredients


    • PUDDING:
    • 1/4 cup Butter
    • 5 cups Cinnamon Swirl Bread Cubes(stale)
    • 7 Eggs
    • 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
    • 1 teaspoon Cornstarch
    • 1/8 teaspoon Salt
    • 6 cups Milk
    • 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla
    • VANILLA SAUCE:
    • 2 cups Granulated Sugar
    • 2 cups & 1/4 cup Water(divided)
    • 1/2 cup Butter
    • 3 teaspoons Cornstarch
    • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
    • 1 teaspoon Vanilla


    Instructions


    1. Making the pudding, spread butter in the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking pan. Spread the bread cubes along the bottom of the pan. Using a electric mixer beat eggs and add sugar, cornstarch & salt. Add in milk and vanilla. Pour milk and egg mixture on bread layer. Bake at 350 degree for 25 minutes. Pudding is done when a butter knife inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool.
    2. While pudding is baking make up the sauce. making the sauce by combining sugar, 2 cups water & butter in saucepan and cook until boiling. In a small bowl combine 1/4 cup water with cornstarch, mixing until clear and smooth, then add to boiling mixture. Mix well and serve 1-2 tablespoons of sauce over each square of bread pudding served. Makes 16 servings.
