    List of Ingredients


    • 1 cup flour
    • 1/2 cup butter
    • 2 tablespoons water
    • Topping:
    • 1 teaspoon almond flavoring
    • 1 cup flour
    • 1/2 cup butter
    • 3 eggs
    • 1 cup water
    • 1 bag confection sugar
    • 1 bag ground nuts
    • 1 can sweet cream cheese icing


    Instructions


    1. Cut butter into flour, sprinkle with water, Mix with fork. Round dough into 2 balls, put dough with hands into 2 12x3 stripes. Stripes should be 3 inches apart on un-greased pan.
    2. Topping- bring water & butter to a boil, add almond flavoring. remove from heat, add flour immediately(keep from lumping). Beat until smooth & thick. Add eggs 1 at a time, beating after each egg.
    3. Spread evenly over pastry. Bake at 350 degrees for 60 minutes or until crisp & brown. Let cool frost with confection sugar and ground nuts icing or a sweet cream cheese frosting.
