Margaret's Caramel Corn
Everytime my son,David and I went to my aunt Margies's house, we hoped she would have some caramel corn. One day, David asked her for the recipe and this is it. Enjoy!!
List of Ingredients
- 8 quarts popped corn. (About 3-4 poppers full)
- 2 stick oleo
- 2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 cup white Karo
- 1 tsp.vanilla
Instructions
- Melt butter over low heat. Add sugar,Karo and stir. Add soda and cook til bubbly.
- Pour syrup over corn and stir well. Pour onto greased cookie sheet and bake at 250 for 1 hour. Stir every 15 minutes. You may have to bake a little longer, until the corn is nice and crispy.
- Cool on waxed paper. Store in covered container.
