Recipe Introduction
This is the best pork barbeque outside of the Carolinas. The meat is good by itself or served with a side of your favorite sauce.
List of Ingredients
- 1 pork picnic (about 5 lbs.)
- 1 tablespoon kosher or sea salt
- 1 tablespoon ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- liquid smoke - hickory smoke flavor
- hamburger buns
- coleslaw
Instructions
- Mix together the salt, pepper and paprika in a small bowl.
- Place pork in crockpot and pour liquid smoke all over meat.
- Rub on the spice mixture and pour liquid smoke all over again.
- Cover and cook for 8-10 hours on low.
- Remove meat and shred with forks; discard bones and skin.
- Place meat in a bowl and add some of the cooking liquid to maintain moistness.
- Serve on buns with coleslaw.
