French Onion Soup
List of Ingredients
4 C. sliced onions
3 T. butter
3 cans beef broth
1 3/4 C. water
1 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
Thinly sliced French Bread
Thin slices Grueyer cheeseRecipe
Saute onions in buttor on low heat for 30 minutes. Add broth and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to a boil. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
To Serve:
Add soup to oven-proof soup dishes. Top soup with 1 slice of bread and top bread with cheese. Place under broiler until cheese is melted. Serve immediately.
