Matzo Ball Soup
List of Ingredients
SOUP:
3 lb. chicken
2 qt. water
1 onion
2 stalks celery
12 whole peppercorns
2 carrots
Salt
MATZO BALLS:
2 eggs
1 T. Schmaltz (rended Chicken Fat)
4 eggs
1/3 C. melted shorteningRecipe
Make soup. Mix matzo balls and refrigerate 1/2 hour. Use 1 T. mixture to make balls with moist hands. Simmer in water 30-40 minutes. Put in soup 5 minutes before serving.
