    Why make perogies?


    List of Ingredients


    • 15 lasagna noodles
    • 2 cups cottage cheese
    • 1 egg
    • 1/4 tsp onion salt
    • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
    • 2 cups mashed potatoes
    • 1/4 tsp salt
    • 1/4 tsp onion salt
    • 1/8 tsp pepper
    • 1 cup butter or margarine
    • 1 cup chopped onions


    Instructions


    1. Cook noodles; drain (or use oven-ready). Line bottom of 9x13 inch pan.
    2. In medium bowl, mix cottage cheese, egge and onion salt. Spoon over noodles, spread. Cover with layer of noodles.
    3. In same bowl, mix cheddar cheese with potatoes, salt, onion salt and pepper; spread over noodles. Cover with layer of noodles.
    4. Melt butter in frying pan. Saute onions slowly until clear and soft. Pour over noodles.
    5. Cover; bake 30 min at 350. Let stand 10 min before cutting.
