    List of Ingredients




    1 onion, cut into 1/2 inch slices
    1/4~cup water
    2.6~oz Golden onion soup mix (1pkg)
    1/4~cup White basalmic or white wine vinegar
    1~tablespoon olive oil
    2~teaspoon paprika
    4 garlic cloves
    1 roasting chicken (approx 5 lb)

    Arrange onion over bottom of deep dish baker. Add water.
    In sm batter bowl, combine soup mix, vinegar, oil, paprika nad garlic (pressed).
    Rince chicken, pat dry. Trim excess fat.
    Using pastry brush, brush soup mix evenly over bck side of chicken.
    Place chicken in baker, breast side up.
    Brush inside of cavity with mix.
    Tie ends of legs toghether with cotton string. Lift wing tips up towrd neck athen tuck nder back of
    chicken. Brush remaing mix evenly over outside of chicken.
    Cover lossley with foil.
    Bake 1 h 40 min-2 h (until temp is 180)
    Remove foil,bake 5-10 min.
    Remove to carving board; tent with foil, let stand 10 min.
    Removehalf onion, half meat for other recipes.
    Serve
