List of Ingredients
- 1 cup chopped carrots
- 1 cup chopped/sliced mushrooms
- 1/2 cup coarsely chopped celery
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 cup all purpose flour
- 2 cans (14 oz each) chicken broth
- 1 can (12oz) evaporated milk
- 1 1/2 cups cooked wild rice
- 1 cup diced cooked chicken
- 1/4 cup slivered almonds, toasted
- butter or margarine
Instructions
- Chop veggies.
- Melt butter in 3 qt saucepan over medium heat. Add veggies, cook and stir 3-4 minutes or until crisp-tender.
- Stir in flour. Gradually add broth and milk, whisking until blended.
- Bring to boil. Stir in cooked rice and chicken. Reduce heat, simmer uncovered for 5 minutes.
- Add toasted almonds right before serving.
