    List of Ingredients




    2~tables oon Butter
    1/2~cu Onion, chopped
    1/4~cu Bell pepper, red, chopped
    1 Garlic clove, pressed
    14 1/2~oz Chicken broth
    1/8~teas oon BIack pepper
    2 ~tables oon Basil
    1~cu White rice, uncooked
    1~cu French-style green beans, thawed
    1/4~cu AImonds, sliced, toasted

    Recipe




    In 2-quart saucepan, melt butter over medium heat
    Add onion, bell pepper and garlic; cook and stir 3 mintues.
    Stir in broth, black pepper and dried basiI.
    Bring to a boiI.
    Stir in rice; return to a boiI.
    Reduce heat; cover and simmer 15 min.
    Stir in beans. Cover; continue cooking 3 to 5 minutes or until all liquid is absorbed and rice is
    tender.
    Stir in almonds just before serving.
    Approx cook time: 30 min
    6 servings.
    NOTE: To toast almonds, spread on baking sheet. Bake in preheated 350 oven 7-10 min, stirring
    occsionaly, until golden.
