Recipe Introduction
A treat on toasted bagels. Also a great low-carb dish.
List of Ingredients
1 can tomato soup
6 oz. cream cheese with chives
2 packets unflavored gelatin
1/2 cup cold water
2 large cans salmon
juice of 1/2 lemon (or 1 tblsp lemon juice)
1-1/2 cups finely chopped celery (3 stalks)
1 cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon sweet pickle relish
1/2 teaspoon dried minced onion
1 teaspoon prepared horseradish
Recipe
1. Boil soup and cheese till cheese melts and the mixture is smooth.
2. Dissolve gelatin in water (for regular gelatin packets sprinkle over water and allow to soften at least five minutes, but if using beef gelatin stir it in and wait five minutes). Add to soup to melt completely. *Note: If doubling the recipe, dissolve each two packets in a separate glass of water, do not combine.
3. Add all other ingredients.
4. Pour into greased (sprayed with Pam is okay) mold. Refrigerate till set.
5. When ready to serve, unmold onto platter and garnish with olives, lots of fresh parsley and/or sliced hard-boiled eggs.
