Dear Chef and all,
Have enjoyed this ezine almost since its inception, and love trying
the recipes. I live in the Buffalo, NY area and boy have we been
through the weather ringer this winter so far. Snow and Ice. I'm a
volunteer fire fighter and the weather has kept us very busy. I've
now had my very first snowmobile ride; to answer first aid calls! I
also am a world vacation traveler and am looking forward to Marrakech,
Morocco and Sicily in the near future, if anyone has any food or
travel tips for these places, I'd love to hear from you.
Here is a recipe for a warm and hearty breakfast, love it on a Sunday
morning.
List of Ingredients
1/2 lb bulk pork sausage
3/4 c sliced mushrooms
1/4 c sliced green onions
1/2 lb grated cheese (cheddar, colby)
4 c (3/4") bread cubes, crust on
1 c milk
4 eggs, beaten Recipe
Brown sausage; drain. Add vegetables, continue cooking 5 min; drain.
Set aside to cool 10 min. Stir together sausage mixture, cheese and
bread cubes; place in greased 8" sq baking dish. Beat milk and eggs.
Pour over sausage mixture. Cover; refrigerate several hours.
(Overnight is good.) Preheat oven to 350. Remove cover. Bake 50 to
55 min or until golden brown. Let stand 10 min before serving. 6
servings.
