List of Ingredients
1 C butter
1 1/4 C sugar
1 C coarsely chopped pecans
8 oz Hershey bar, chopped Recipe
Arrange nuts on a cookie sheet or 9X13 cake pan so they are in a single layer - melt butter in heavy frying pan and add sugar, cooking and stirring until the mixture is the color of a a brown paper bag (evenly tan through out) - pour sugar mixture over nuts and top with chocolate pieces. As the chocolate melt, spread with spoon to cover toffee - sprinkle a few finely chopped nuts on top. Cut into chunks with a knife when cool.
I use a cake pan instead of a cookie sheet- the sugar mixture will bubble at first and then sort of separates into globs with a little grease as it gets done. Make sure you cook it until it's the color of a sack or it's a disaster - when it's the right color, pour it QUICKLY over the nuts & spread it to cover them. The grease will be reabsorbed...
