Celery Casserole by Angie

List of Ingredients
1 stick butter
8-10 bacon flavored crackers, crumbled (divided)
4 cups sliced and chopped celery
1 (8 oz) can sliced water chestnuts, chopped
1 (2 1/4 oz) pkg. slivered almonds
2 (10 3/4 oz) can cream of chicken soup
1/4 cup water Recipe
Melt butter in casserole dish. Cover bottom of dish with half of the course crackers crumbs. Cut celery and put in boilding water. Bring water back to boiling and boil 6 minutes. Drain. Add water chestnuts (chopped) and almonds to celery and spread over crackers. Combine water and soups and sperad over celery. Top with remaining cracker crumbs. BAke at 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes.
Note: also good if you add diced chicken.
Yield: 4-6 servings
