My Favourite dish of all time. This reminds me of my childhood in England.
List of Ingredients
Toad in the Hole (Yorkshire Pudding w/Sausage)
1-1/4 cup sifted flour
1 tsp salt
1-1/2 cups milk
2 eggs
1 lb. bangers (English sausages)(regular pork links can be substituted) Recipe
Heat oven to 425*Sift flour & salt into bowl. Gradually beat in milk. Add eggs, beating until smooth.In hot skillet, fry sausages until brown. Remove from drippings & cut in half crosswise.In 12x8 baking dish, pour 2 Tblsp hot drippings. Arrange sausage pieces over bottom of dish & pour in batter.Bake 25 minutes or until puffy & golden.Yield: 4 servings
