    Recipe Introduction

Hi all! My name is Gail, and my hubby and I have recently moved to
the Atlanta, Georgia area from Chicago. Although I am enjoying my new
surroundings (especially the weather!), I really miss all the
wonderful, diverse restaurants in Chi-Town. I'm still searching for a
great deep-dish pizza, so if any one has any suggestions for the North
Atlanta area, please email me! There are many excellent Italian
restaurants in Chicago, so I've chosen an Italian dessert as my
specialty from my "very recent" corner of Recitopia. Tiramisu has
been my contribution for family get-togethers for many years, and it's
always a hit during the holiday season.

    List of Ingredients

17.5 oz. package Ladyfingers (also known as Italian cookies)
    24 oz. Mascarpone Cheese
    4 Eggs (separated)
    8 Tbs Sugar
    2 Tbs Rum
4 Tbs Kahlua (coffee flavored liquor)
    8 Tbs Milk
    2 Cups Chocolate Flavored Coffee
    6 Milk Chocolate Bars (Grated)

    Recipe

Make coffee and cool until just warm. Mix coffee, 4 Tbs. sugar,
milk, rum and Kahlua in a medium size bowl. Let sit. In large bowl,
whip eggs yolks and 4 Tbs sugar. Fold in Mascarpone cheese. Mix
well. Whip egg whites with electric mixer on high until stiff, and
then gently fold into cheese mixture. Arrange one layer of
ladyfingers (20) on a plate and lightly soak with the coffee mixture.
Then transfer them to a 13 x 9 pan. (This keeps the ladyfingers from
becoming soggy.) Spread 1/3 of cheese mixture over 1st layer of
ladyfingers. Then sprinkle with 1/3 of grated chocolate. Repeat two
more times for a total of 3 layers. Refrigerate overnight or for at
    least 4 hours.
